The skills

These qualifications are designed for for aspiring & established managers who wish to obtain a formal Management Qualification and are jointly awarded with the Chartered Institute of Management (CMI).

These qualifications cover skills and areas that are applicable to all managers and industries. Some of the core skills you will be covering are

  • developing and implementing operational plans for your area of responsibility
  • managing business processes
  • leading change
  • initiating and following grievance and disciplinary procedures
  • supporting individuals to develop and maintain their performance
  • managing finance for your area of responsibility
  • developing, maintaining and evaluating marketing and business continuity plans
  • managing projects

The award

Candidates employed in relevant Management roles will generate the evidence from 7-8 units to achieve the Management SCQF Level 7 or Management SCQF Level 9.
